Gary graduated from Kansas State University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He received his CPA certificate in 1971 and, after three years with a national CPA firm, joined Mize, Houser in 1971 and became a partner in 1976. Gary has developed a broad background in the field of auditing, including experience in manufacturing, construction, retailing, and employee benefit plans. Gary’s clients benefit from his knowledge of their businesses when they undertake such tasks as strategic planning, financing and restructuring, budgeting, regulatory assistance, cash planning and development of procedures and policies.
Gary is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, in which he has served on the Accounting and Auditing Technical Committee and the Emergency Assistance Committee. He has been on the board of directors of the Northeast Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and Junior Achievement, is a member of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, and serves on his church's finance committee.
