Marsha graduated from Washburn University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Upon graduation, she joined Mize, Houser and completed the requirements for her CPA designation. In 1983, she was offered and accepted the first full-time marketing position at Mize, Houser. Over her career, she has performed formal Needs Assessments/Business Process Reviews for scores of organizations and consulted with hundreds of others. These have included privately-held companies, not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities of all sizes.

Marsha is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Northeast Kansas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants. She is active in various civic organizations, including Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy and will be the 2012 president for the Topeka Chapter of Sales & Marketing Executives International (SME).
