Audit Services

“When I learned we’d need an audit, I expected it to be as much fun as a root canal, but it was a good exercise – and we learned a lot about our business!”

Selecting the firm you want to do the audit of your financial statements is no small task.

Your motivation for having the audit may be the primary criteria for your decision.  You might view the audit as a “means to an end” — the only way to secure the financing your growing business requires.  If you are an “absentee owner,” the audit may be your best assurance that the business is being run as you would want.  The motivation may even be the pending sale or purchase of a business.

If your banker is providing the motivation, you’ll want to select an accounting firm that will provide the assurance your banker requires.  If the audit is for your own peace of mind, you’ll want a firm that understands not only the accounting implications of the daily operations, but also represents your interests appropriately.  And if the accounting firm is providing the basis for a transfer of the business, both parties will expect accuracy, insight and timeliness.

Our Audit and Assurance Team is technically qualified to perform audits and reviews.  While this may seem like a “given,” not all accounting firms have made the commitment to provide this critical service — the only one that is exclusive to our profession.  Beyond the technical capabilities, you will appreciate the heavy involvement our shareholders will retain in our relationship, our low staff turnover and the efficiencies we will achieve – thanks to technology!

You may find — as our other clients have — beneficial by-products of your audit, which include:

  • Tax-saving opportunities
  • Worldwide assistance through our membership in BKR International
  • The satisfaction of having your records “cleaned up”!
  • Internal control enhancements
  • Identification of methods to improve efficiency in day-to-day operations

To enable us to propose our assurance services to you, we will discuss with you who the users of your certified financial statements will be, what “industry-specific” accounting issues exist, and when the work needs to occur.  These factors, plus your staff’s ability to participate in the process, will determine our fee.  We look forward to getting to know you and your company better and providing the type of assurance services you will value.
