As a tax shareholder in the Overland Park office, Bret’s strength is working with owners who face major business decisions such as selling the business, acquiring another business and complex transactions that often require big picture strategies with very specific tax planning. He enjoys the challenge of helping clients envision their picture of success and crafting specific tax and business strategies to help them achieve their goals.
Bret’s education and experience as a former practicing attorney helps him understand complicated legal business structures so he can avoid potential blind spots that other CPAs can easily miss. And he’s adept at working with unique challenges such as evaluating potential franchise opportunities for a client and helping a large family-owned business develop tax and business strategies to plan a sustainable future for generations to come. Bret’s clients range from multi-generational, family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies across a variety of industries.
